Rogue Bandits rafting the Rogue River

This was a repeat trip for this Salem, OR family though the smoky skies were a first.  We offered bandanas to help with breathing.  Next stop is Lake of the Woods and bike riding. We wish we could say the smoke will go away.  There are no guarantees so we are asking Fun Trips floaters to consider their comfort and health first.

Half day Rogue River rafting trip on July 29

Two uncles from New York took their local nephews and niece rafting on the half day Rogue River trip from Galice to Grave Creek.  Though a little eerie, the smoky Rogue River has a different ambiance and tranquility to it.  The rapids are still the same!

Smokey day rafting the Rogue River

Grandparents and grandsons joined Ferron's Rogue River Fun Trips for a smoky morning rafting on the Rogue River.  Though ashes are falling, the river and surrounding areas are safe.  The fire west and north just create a very different ambiance on the Rogue River.  The family is headed to Out 'N About Treesort after the trip where hopefully the skies will be blue.

Grandparents and grandkids rafting the Rogue River with Ferron's Rogue River Fun Trips

A grandma and her water polo granddaughter joined Ferron for a full day trip. At lunch another set of grandparents and their grandsons joined Ferron for the afternoon. Unfortunately, one of the boys had an injured foot but he managed to swim in the river and cool down. The grandparents and grandkids shared double kayaks and had lots of water fights.

Hand bell ensemble rafts the Rogue with Ferron's Rogue River Fun Trips

Fifteen members of the Tintabulations Hand Bell Ensemble joined Ferron's Rogue River Fun Trips yesterday morning. The group is from Nevada and is on its way to Portland to compete. The group worked well on the river, too. They were a great paddle boat team and traded off in the double tomkats as well. We appreciated their artistic photo abilities, too. Those in Ferron's raft took great pictures. The hand bell ensemble ranges in age from 21 to 65 years old. Everyone had an awesome time on the river. Thanks, Tintabulations. Good luck!

Rogue River Rafting with families from Portland, OR and Richmond, VA

From 5 years old to grandparents these folks enjoyed a half day afternoon trip on the Rogue River with Ferron yesterday.  Ferron said the 5 year old belted out a mean rendition of Hit Me With Your Best Shot while both granddads tried the inflatable kayaks. The families were from Portland and Richmond, VA and are vacationing together.

Three generations rafting the Rogue River

This reunion was in the making since early this year.  Parents, their kids, and their kids' kids gathered in Galice for the week end and spent Friday morning on the river with Ferron's Rogue River Fun Trips.  Some brought their own tahitis, some rented rafts and some joined the half day morning guided trip.

Women's Rogue River Rafting Trip

This is the second year one of Sue's former college colleagues, her partner, her mom, her sister and girlfriends joined Sue.  This year we rafted on the Rogue River from Hog Creek to Grave Creek.  The winds blew upstream most of the day and there were many folks on the river.  Still these intrepid women stayed in the double inflatable tomkats all day long and we still had the opportunity to enjoy some solitude.  The blue heron in this album seemed to enjoy it, too.  We also saw a mink and bald eagle.  Sue enjoyed this busy day on the river a lot with these wonderful women.

Red, white and blue Rogue River rafters on July 4

Some of our guests dressed for the holiday by wearing red, white and blue on their rafting trip yesterday.  Another family also joined Ferron for a Rogue River rafting day trip.  The girls from each family decided to tackle Argo Falls together as a team and raise their paddles triumphantly at the bottom.
