The Rogue River on St. Patrick's Day

Here is our leprechaun, Ferron, with Curry and Belle, whom we're dog sitting. According to the March 16 Grants Pass Daily Courier the recent rains have caused the Rogue River to flow at a rate it hasn't reached in almost 40 years at this time of year. As you can see by looking at the boat ramp, the river has already started to drop and the sun is shining this afternoon.

Spring approaching on the Rogue River

Spring is coming to the Rogue River. The croci are blooming on our property and rain and showers are predicted the next week. We really need this as the rainfall this year is down 4 inches. The more water in the reservoir, the more water that can be be released during the Rogue River rafting season. Hopefully there will be a full flowing Rogue River this summer.

Snowy hills over the Rogue RiverI

It's trying to be spring on the Rogue River, and this is what we awoke to surrounding the hills of Hellgate Canyon this morning. Snowpack is good, though. Hopefully there will be lots of water in the Rogue River for the 2012 summer season.
