Red, white and blue Rogue River rafters on July 4
Some of our guests dressed for the holiday by wearing red, white and blue on their rafting trip yesterday. Another family also joined Ferron for a Rogue River rafting day trip. The girls from each family decided to tackle Argo Falls together as a team and raise their paddles triumphantly at the bottom.

A cool day on the Rogue River
Repeat customers from Washington decided to brave the cool dampness yesterday to be on the Rogue River with Ferron and the pups. The family arrived in so Oregon at 4 AM for their trip. They stayed at the Treesort in Takilma last year and are going to zip line there today. Weather predicted to warm up into the 90's tomorrow.

June 21, the longest day of the year, and a great day for a Ferron's Rogue River Raft trip
This family
of four joined Ferron yesterday for a full day trip. The dad had
worked on the Pacific Crest Trail in years past. Mom and Dad were avid
birders, and more so before two kids came along. The group actually saw
a water ouzel nest in the same area where there are cliff swallow mud
nests.

June 18 full day Rogue River raft trip. This was the sunniest part of the day. Photo taken at Hog Creek on the Rogue River
This family repeated the trip they took with
us last year; it was just about the same time. While the sun was
shining in the early portion of the day, blustery weather and winds blew
in. The boys remembered Pupeye and Curry. Dad kayaked from
Hog Creek to Galice on the Rogue River but chose to stay warm in the afternoon. The 13
year old, however, stayed in the kayak the whole trip. One of the guests
on the morning trip saw a bald eagle for the first time.
