Rainy morning June trip
Family members from CA and the Applegate area joined Ferron this morning for a rainy morning on the river. While many kayaks were requested, only two actually got in them. The family saw Michael Franti at Britt last night and planned to go wine tasting this afternoon. Meanwhile, the badly needed rains continue.

Great day to raft the Rogue River
What a great day to be on the Rogue River. The four women came from FL and Olympia, WA. Only one of the four is retired and the rest save up their vacation time and travel internationally and this time nationally. They had been to Crater Lake, spent the morning on the Rogue River and were headed to Gold Beach.
The other two folk are staff from the Siskiyou Field Institute www.thesfi.org
They won the silent auction item for a two person guided trip that
Ferron's Fun Trips donated to the SFI Birds and Brew fundraiser. Such
an honor to take them down the river. Besides kayaking and battling
winds, they saw a bald eagle, an immature bald eagle and a red tailed hawk
on today's Rogue River raft trip.
A Sunday float with local Galicians
A local kayaker from Galice, his wife, and her friends were on the Rogue River yesterday with Ferron. The group floated from Galice to Grave Creek. The kids recently lost their dog so Curry and Pupeye accompanied Ferron for some dog energy and loving.
