Full day of guided river trips on the Rogue River

We had two families on half day guided trips yesterday. The first family had a little boy that was full of energy and excitement. Him and Dad tried the kayak together and had wild rides through the rapids. The second family was from Virginia and stayed at the Vertical Horizon's resort. They were in the kayaks for a short period of time as the water was a bit chilly. There were many Osprey, geese, and merganser sightings.

Season winding down

The temperatures are cooler, the phone is ringing less, and the river is dropping. It's beginning to look like the end of the season. Still a few more big trips and of course we're ready for more guided trips and rentals. There have been many animal sightings this season, here are a few examples.

Rogue River rafting with family and friends

Yesterday Sue guided a trip of friends and their loved ones.  Two of the women Sue has known for over thirty years.  One of the women is friends with the gentleman in the front of the raft; they have known each other much longer and Sue became friends with him.  This same woman had her cousin visiting from Martha's Vineyard, MA, which was Sue's old stomping grounds.  We left early in the morning to avoid the Saturday crowds and had much of the river to themselves for much of the day.

Full day guided trip from Hog Creek to Grave Creek on the Rogue River

This family was fortunate to see a lot of wildlife yesterday. They spotted 3 bald eagles, 2 mature 1 immature, and some deer. Everyone tried the kayaks and had great conversations with their guide. Everyone loved their provided lunch, as there was little left behind. Another successful day on the Rogue River.

We love our community here at Ferron's Fun Trips. During the summer we have an extended family that has fun along with us and our business. When we're not playing with boats we're enjoying each other's company here at headquarters.

First experiences on the Rogue River

This family had an absolute blast yesterday on a guided trip down the Rogue River with Ferron's Fun Trips. This 6 year old had her first experience in the river and was in the water as often as possible; she also tried the kayak with her dad. It was a day filled with smiles and giggles.

Full day guided river trips; Hog Creek to Grave Creek

A mom and her two teenagers went on a guided trip yesterday. They were from the Portland area and came down for some summer adventures. The kids were in the kayaks most of the day and did great through all of the rapid; they were naturals. Val joined the group to hone in on her kayaking skills for our annual Ferron's Fun Trips downriver community trip.

Weekend rafting the Rogue River

There were two groups of guided trips yesterday. Here are some pictures of everyone getting ready for a day of fun rafting the Rogue River. One group included the founder of the Table Rock Foundation. The grand kids were in kayaks all day while everyone else enjoyed the float. At Galice they were joined by three other groups where two more kids floated in kayaks for the day.
