The Rogue River is high and muddy

Mid-January on the Rogue River. The temperatures during the day have been in the mid fifties, not low enough for snow which means lots of rain. Folks would not need to carry their rafts very far for a river put in. The day after this photo was taken the sun came out. As Rogue River levels drop, we hope the wiley winter steelhead will start to bite.

January 1, 2011 began with snow along the Rogue River. Without rain the past few days the river is dropping and becoming clearer. We anticipate winter steelhead fishing on the Rogue River shortly. It was a beautiful, sunny blue sky day. The snows glistened as they melted and fell from the trees. What an awesome way to start the new year on the Rogue River.
